Leiter went so far as to condemn those who dared to criticize Mearsheimer for endorsing Atzmon’s book, calling their criticism “hysterical” and not “advance[ing] sincere intellectual discourse.” And he defended Mearsheimer’s endorsement as “straight forward.”
