Question by : big brands of clothes from china?
hi. I found a couple of wholesale distributors of big brands from china. their clothes look 100% like real. You cannot tell the difference (same tags, etc.) Can you sell them in UK in a shop? (Abercrombie, Nike, Diesel, etc.) Is there any way you can tell that the products is not real, or maybe it is exactly the same products you pay 4 times more in USA for!?!?!?. Can someone come and check it? How?

You can not bring in big brands from China. The way it works is like this. A artist/ designer makes a shirt or shoe and they put their brand name on it. The brand name is a trademark and or copyright. The shirts are mass produced over seas. The products then have to be legally imported into your country thru customs clearance procedures. Customs has a list of all the trademarks from every business and checks shipments to see if the merchandise is protected or not. If its protected they make sure the people that ordered it is a authorized dealer/ importer of that product. The manufacturer has a list.
A typical transaction goes like this :
We will use Nike for example:
Nike designer make the next hot shoe, and order a million pieces to be made in the factory in China.
A local Nike importer shows off the new shoe to his 100 retail stores that she represents and takes pre orders.
The shoes are complete and ship to the authorized dealer.
The authorized dealer gets the merchandise and inspects it then gives it to the store to sale for the public.

During the above while no one was looking about 10 pair of shoe snuck out the back of factory and were dismantled.
The dismantled and stolen blueprints of the nice new shoe was photo graph and scan and email to North Korea and the shoe was smuggled across the Chinese border/ North Korean border for a pack of cigarettes.
Next the Slave trade labor concetration camps work to death to create thousands of knockoff of this shoe just for a few grains of rice.
The shoes are then smuggles out the border and back into China for a mere pack of cigarettes.
The shoes show up in China town and you see these nice high Quality Nike shoes and think that they are the real deal, as they are made with real materials. You think…….hmmm I can buy these for like 2$ and sell them in my shop in UK for 50$ each.
You buy a thousand and ship them.
They reach Customs and get confiscated for being a illegal shipment of knockoff merchandise because your name is not on Nike’s list of importers.

So you can still make huge huge money by importing goods from China legally and there is only 2 ways to do this.
1. You need to become a authorized importer of the brand name you want, and trust me if you do you wont be getting that great price and your forbidden to sell them to anyone but a store anyway.
2. The best option, you have the factory produce you a thousand pieces and put your own brand name on it, thus becoming your own importer and then you can get high quality nice merchandise for cheap.
If you take the route of 2 you will need family or a team in China to inspect the merchandise. The chinese are super smart, they will show you top quality samples and when you order the thousand piece they will do everything possible to cut all costs even using cheaper materials. The way around this is to stay their and monitor the different stages of progress while your product is made.
You still have to import the item, and have it clear customs.
And now you have to market your brand name from scratch and make it famous enough to compete with the others. This can be hard but lots of people have done this.
Good luck.
