Firstly, (1), the products are manufactured at a factory and loaded inside a shipping container. The shipping container is then placed upon a truck.
(2). The truck delivers the shipping container to a holding area. This is a large parking lot filled with other shipping containers. Assuming that the shipment method is FOB (Free on Board), the Shipping container will tagged, insured and inspected prior to being loaded on to a Cargo boat.
(3) It is then loaded on a boat and will travel approximately 3 weeks to the USA.
(4) Upon arrival in the USA, it is unloaded and placed in a quarantine area. This area is so that the US Immigration and inspection crews can check the cargo and approve it’s release for entry into the USA. This usually takes about 1 to 3 months.
(5) Upon approval, the receiving customer or store, will then dispatch a truck to pick up the Cargo container. They will sign for it and deliver it to a warehouse.
(6) The Cargo container will be unloaded and the contents placed in a warehouse.
(7) The customer (store) will get the products, as needed, from the warehouse and place them on the store shelves.
