The making of ceramics reaches one more peak in the Qing Dynasty. Principal source material on Qing Dynasty porcelain varies from both foreign to domestic. The key hub of ceramics porduction is at Jingdezhen, a city in south China well-known for its strategy and art style in porcelain for centuries, even though at the same time the central government run its personal kilns in Beijing.
The Palace Museum holds 340,000 pieces of ceramics and porcelain, including the imperial collections from the Tang Dynasty and the Song Dynasty, as effectively as pieces commissioned by the Palace, and, occasionally by the Emperor personally, therefore represents the ideal of porcelain production in China.
